Tips for a better result

  • A short setup and a specific payoff usually read better than two long paragraphs.
  • Keep faces and important details away from the caption areas. Your image is center-cropped to fit.
  • Use the caption-panel layout when an image is too busy for text to sit on top.

Use images you have permission to share. Long captions become smaller to fit; shorten the wording if it is difficult to read.

Can I use my own meme image?

Yes. Choose a local PNG, JPEG, or WebP up to 20 MB. The editor center-crops it to the selected layout; check the preview before downloading.

Do I need a photo to make a meme?

No. A built-in graphic is ready to use. Edit its two captions and template color to create a text-led meme.

Can I move or resize the text?

The captions stay at the top and bottom. You can change their size, toggle uppercase, and switch between overlay text and separate caption panels. This is a focused meme editor, not a free-position design canvas.

What size is the downloaded meme?

The export is a 1080 × 1080 PNG. Its text and crop match the preview, and it has no added Caroush watermark.

Is the Meme Generator free?

Are my inputs sent to a generation service?

No. This tool processes its text and any selected images in your browser. It does not send those inputs to an AI generation service or social account. Your work is not saved after a page reload, so export the result before leaving.
